Hi all

It has been so long since my last blog?both of my computers are broken?.I feel so out of touch with the world!

So what have I been up to?

I entered the ?Big Audition? singing competition run by More fm , which was looking for singers to sing on that telethon which is going to be on tv next month.

I auditioned in Dunedin, and got through to the regional finals in Christchurch.

This day was a lot of fun?we had a day of singing, learning dances and performing surrounded by tv crews of course? I don?t consider myself a strong dancer so if you see me dancing you should get a wee laugh?.

The singing went well?we had to learn a song with a group, my group did ?natural Woman? by Aretha Franklin?personally I thought we were one of the best groups.

Then they announced the top 8 - for the south island ? of which I was one ? yay.

But then they only had to pick 3 to perform on telethon?.all of the top 8 were so good ? I am glad I wasn?t a judge!. The three they picked (not me) were all very good, so no hard feelings?.

It was great to rub shoulders with Suzanne Lynch, Simon Barnett, and some of the other people involved.

So keep an eye out for me if you watch the telethon, although I wont be holding my breath to see any footage of me?these tv things are a little fickle. The reason I say that is from experience ? I auditioned for NZ got talent the other year. I got through to the tv round where you perform in front of the judges and audience. They judges liked me and said ?Congrats you are through to the next round?, then I got a call from the organisers saying that I wasn?t through after all? and when I watched it on tv?all footage of me was edited out completely, my interviews with the hosts, my performance, everything?.. like I was never on there!

Anyway enough of my moaning?.
